Job Description

The Information and Communication Technology Officer`s role entails the daily oversight and use of data systems. The officer is responsible for the efficient organization, storage, and analysis of data with attention to confidentiality, integrity, security and accessibility.

JOB DUTIES/ RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Enforcement of policies for effective data management.
2. Enforcement of rules and procedures for data sharing and data management.
3. Provision of end-user support, management of the security of data systems and adherence to all relevant laws, regulations, and standards.
4. Assist with reports and data extraction when needed.
5. Monitor and analyze information/ data systems and evaluate their performance to discover ways of enhancing them.
6. Ensure digital databases and archives are protected from security breaches and data losses.
7. Troubleshoot all information technology challenges and escalate for resolution when necessary.

REMUNERATION
Remuneration is subject to prevailing salary structure for Kaduna State Civil Servants for Grade Level 08

Job Requirement

Basic requirements:
i. A bachelor’s degree in a core ICT related discipline (e.g., computer science, computer engineering, information and communication technology, information systems, software engineering etc.).
ii. Excellent understanding of data administration and management functions.
iii. Familiarity with modern database and information system technologies.
iv. Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Access, Word etc.).
v. An analytical mindset with problem-solving skills.
vi. Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
vii. Proficient in database management.
viii. Skills in PHP and .NET

Professional Qualifications:
Data analytics, data visualization and programming skills are an added advantage.

Age Bracket:18 - 50years old
